She's matured, her body having taken on a much more womanly figure, with her bust filling out and her hips having taken a nice hourglass shape, but she still doesn't look 25. With shoulder-length blonde hair and bright blue eyes, Demi always looks pretty innocent, especially in her facial expressions. Her eyes are always open fairly widely, and she's known for having a look of perpetual curiosity on her face. Unless she's playing Quidditch. Then it's a fierce look of determination that gets even the hardest player's attention. As for her attire, she is the kind of girl typically be seen around wearing jeans and a leather jacket given to her by her late uncle, who used to be a biker.  Personality: Demelza is sometimes very difficult to read. At times, she can seem very stand-offish, due to her hobby as an artist. Many times, she is seen as contemplative, but when she speaks and gives her opinion, she can be very brash and forceful. Most of her forcefulness comes out in her times playing Quidditch, but since the entire mess with muggles discovering the existance of wizards at large, she has found herself longing to play without any avenue to do so. Personal History: Demi is muggle-born, the only child of David and Rose Robins, and was born in the small town of Cosham, about two hours away from London. For most of her childhood, she was pushed towards art by her parents, who felt that she would become a great curator or possibly famous artist herself when she was old enough. Demi herself doesn't particularly care as much for art as she used to when she was a young child, but she understands that her parents have certain goals in mind for her, so, she's gone along with it for a long time. After getting into Hogwarts, her parents seemed to grow a bit distant from Demi. Unlike some of the muggle parents that several students had, who supported and encouraged their children, David and Rose discouraged her from talking about her magic at home, as well as pushing her art on her further. They believed that because her art was something she actually did, physically, with her hands and with her own talent, that should be encouraged, and not the magic. In a world of electricity, computers, and televisions, they felt magic was no longer necessary, and in many ways, moving into territory not meant for human eyes.  Her first four years or so at Hogwarts were spent with a small group of acquaintances in Gryffindor, none really all that close with Demelza. Demi kept to herself and continued to work on her art at the behest of her parents, and even though she resented her artwork, she would find inspiration amongst the students. Demi gained a reputation for finding one particular subject to paint and following that person around incessantly until they granted her permission to paint them. Demi has a natural talent as an artist, but for a long time was work for her, not a hobby. Being on the Quidditch team changed that. Once she happened to make the Quidditch team, Demelza found a hobby that allowed her to channel all her frustration and her competitive nature into a magical sport that she loved playing and was good at. Known for being "exceptionally good at dodging bludgers," Demi loved nothing more than flitting around the pitch in intricate patterns no bludger could follow. In fact, when she was struck by the bug of inspiration for her art, if the subject didn't want to be painted, Demi found herself extremely easily distracted by Quidditch. After the war, Demi was forced to go home and take care of her mother, who had grown ill. As a result, she could not attend her seventh year and had to take her NEWTS through the Ministry at her home, but concern over her mother made her scores mediocre at best. In 2004, her mother passed away, and it was only herself and her father. When the decision to have wizards and witches live in Hawkhead came down the pipeline, the timing could not have been better. Demi convinced her father to leave his position at the British Museum of Art as a curator and to come live with her in Hawkhead. After opening a bookshop together(which involved a long story about an old friend of her father's, three chickens and Monet painting), Demi is now trying to grow used to the fact that the world of magic that had once been open to her is now woefully silent. Their bookshop/coffee house is sort of bohemian, hipster or whatever trend is for trendy artsy people, and is named the Archimedes Den. Family Information: Father - David Robins, former curator of the British Museum of Art, Mother - Rose Robins (d. 2004), former restorer of art for the National Art Gallery in London. Passed away from lymphoma. Uncle - Jason "Jace" Robins (d. 1997) , David's brother and a huge influence in her life, he was the one who encouraged Demelza to do things that her parents didn't necessarily approve of. A biker, Uncle Jace died in a motorcycle wreck that was determined to be the fault of the drunk driver that hit him off of a bridge. | ||||||||||
